Time for beauty?

Maintain more beautiful, healthy glowing skin and radiant look with these simple tips:

05:00 Morning starts with a sunrise
Already around 04:00 to 05:00 the body is going through the awakening ritual. During this time, skin makes hormones that actively deal with free radicals.

06:00 Contrast rituals
At 06:00 is the perfect time to begin an active morning. Take a contrast shower and wash your face with cool or even cold water. Then the skin will remain fresh, vivacious, and flexible throughout the day.

07:00 Nourish and vitalize your skin
Starting at 07:00 blood circulation in the skin accelerates and the capacity to absorb valuable nutrients of day cream increases. But beware of a new face cream or any other beauty product testing, because this time the skin is might be more sensitive and allergic to respond.
Around at 8:00 metabolic processes in the skin regain a normal pace and the body starts to fight and eliminate excess fluid and toxins. The time is right for make-up.

08:00 Best time for beautician
From 08:00 to 13:00 – is the time when you look and feel best. Your body goes through active metabolic processes. This is the best time for beauty treatments.

13:00 The hairdressing salon
Between 13:00 and 15:00 you start to look more tired. During this time the hair is particularly manageable. Go to the hairdresser!

17:00 Painless waxing time
From 17.00 to 20.00 – another good time for beauty procedures. The pain threshold is at its lowest. Waxing or epilation weel seem a cinch.

19:00 Time for cleansing
Between 19:00 and 21:00 skin cells use oxygen that was taken in during the day and recover themselves. During this time, it is recommended to cleanse your skin of makeup. To help the body eliminate excess toxins, drink a glass of warm milk before bedtime. From 20:00 to 22:00 your body also burns the most of unnecessary calories.

A well-deserved rest
After 22:00 your organism is ready to go to sleep. Did you know that 1 hour of sleep before midnight is equivalent of two hours of sleep after midnight? Follow this formula and use it to your advantage. At night, when the whole body relaxes and gains strength for a new day, your skin cells go through stages of cleansing and rejunevating themselves!

A little about sensitive skin...

How many of us have sensitive skin?
Apparently in most cases sensitive facial skin is not something you should put up with!  Changing the habits of daily care can recover its vitality.
Why does the skin becomes sensitive
Sensitive skin isn’t actually a skin type, but a skin condition that, depending on the season, lifestyle and daily habits can change. In fact - any skin type can be sensitive. It is caused by various factors:
• Improper skin care, and poor quality make-up
• Rapid temperature and environmental change (in the winter - cold, indoors - conditioning and central heating, but during the summer – sun and salty sea / ocean water)
• Hormonal changes
• Allergies
• Unhealthy eating and medicines - mostly antibiotics.
However, the greatest threat of skin sensitivity is a sharp change of temperature.
Do you have a sensitive skin?
Sensitive skin in response to temperature changes becomes pink and dry, and with a time can begin to peel. If in the evening, after washing your face with water and using a facial wash you feel tingling or itchy sensation, and you notice that chin, forehead or cheek ends becomes red, and a rash develops on your face, it’s advisable that you see the doctor. Specialist accurately assesses skin condition and, if necessary, will perform the required analysis. Evaluating the results allows specialist to accurately determine whether the skin is not too much oily or dry, and set up the recommended care ritual.
How to take care of your skin
If you have sensitive skin and you recently used antibiotics or started using a new powder or foundation or more often use sweets and sweetened beverages, most likely skin sensitivity is temporary and will pass. However, if the above reasons do not cause your skin sensitivity, consult a dermatologist who will help you with a special skin-care ritual.
Rough scrubs or peels, which contain fruit acids are not appropriate for sensitive skin. You should also avoid facial massage, opting instead for a gentle and therapeutic face mask. Very valuable would be the mask, which contains hyaluronic acid, placenta extract, panthenol, grape seed oil, Omega-6 and evening primrose oil and borage.
What should you avoid
It is not advisable to go in the sauna and use cosmetics, which contains a lot of essential oils or alcohol. It accelerates the blood circulation in the skin, which is unneeded irritation of facial blood vessels. Also avoid hot or alcoholic drinks and sun-beds. In winter, before leaving the house, apply a thick layer of protective face cream.
How to strengthen your skin
In order to strengthen the skin and you can take vitamins (the best for skin are Omega-6 and evening primrose oil), and make sure you drink at least 6 glasses of plain water every day. Pamper your skin daily with a protective face cream. It stimulates skin regeneration and new cell generation.
Try these:
If the skin is red and itchy, make gentle compress: take 3 teaspoons chamomile, 1 teaspoon calendula and 200ml of boiling water. When the liquid is cooled (after 10 minutes), wet the terry face towel and put a warm compress on your face. Towel should be warm rather than hot. A chilled fluid can be used to wash your face.
To calm your skin: take a tablespoon of crushed linseed, a tablespoon of mint and a tablespoon of chamomile. Pour the boiling water. When cooled, filter and prepare compress.
Soothing face mask. Prepare potato starch jelly (a tablespoon of starch is mixed with 300ml water). Soak a piece of muslin and apply for 10 minutes on cleansed skin.
What do you find helps most for sensitive skin? Share your experience!

Back on track... :)

Well I have to apologize for such a long absence. We finally welcomed our second baby boy in our lives and I have to admit – I thought I’m quite busy with my oldest toddler but seriously – now it’s two of them and they manage to keep me and my husband busy :)

It’s been 3 weeks since Aidan was born and now I start to get to the grips about juggling around and multi-tasking and getting all done so I can be quite confident and say that “I’m back on track” :)

Anyway – I have loads of ideas about upcoming posts. There will be one on skincare for sensitive skin very soon and many more beauty related posts coming up shortly.

Also I’ve been planning new products and new choice of scents to add to my product line so stay tuned – will be posting pictures as I get on with work :)

Will be posting out my newsletter for July in a couple of days with details about “Christmas in July” event on my Etsy shop which will be filled with tempting offers and prize draw so you can still sign up for my monthly newsletter if you haven’t done so already.

Whew... Quite a bit of news and information to keep me busy and you happy :)

Stay tuned and talk to you soon!

Elina

P.S. Here’s a sneak-peak of our baby boy Aidan
