How many of us have sensitive skin?
Apparently in most cases sensitive facial skin is not something you should put up with! Changing the habits of daily care can recover its vitality.
Why does the skin becomes sensitive
Sensitive skin isn’t actually a skin type, but a skin condition that, depending on the season, lifestyle and daily habits can change. In fact - any skin type can be sensitive. It is caused by various factors:
• Improper skin care, and poor quality make-up
• Rapid temperature and environmental change (in the winter - cold, indoors - conditioning and central heating, but during the summer – sun and salty sea / ocean water)
• Hormonal changes
• Allergies
• Unhealthy eating and medicines - mostly antibiotics.
However, the greatest threat of skin sensitivity is a sharp change of temperature.
Do you have a sensitive skin?
Sensitive skin in response to temperature changes becomes pink and dry, and with a time can begin to peel. If in the evening, after washing your face with water and using a facial wash you feel tingling or itchy sensation, and you notice that chin, forehead or cheek ends becomes red, and a rash develops on your face, it’s advisable that you see the doctor. Specialist accurately assesses skin condition and, if necessary, will perform the required analysis. Evaluating the results allows specialist to accurately determine whether the skin is not too much oily or dry, and set up the recommended care ritual.
How to take care of your skin
If you have sensitive skin and you recently used antibiotics or started using a new powder or foundation or more often use sweets and sweetened beverages, most likely skin sensitivity is temporary and will pass. However, if the above reasons do not cause your skin sensitivity, consult a dermatologist who will help you with a special skin-care ritual.
Rough scrubs or peels, which contain fruit acids are not appropriate for sensitive skin. You should also avoid facial massage, opting instead for a gentle and therapeutic face mask. Very valuable would be the mask, which contains hyaluronic acid, placenta extract, panthenol, grape seed oil, Omega-6 and evening primrose oil and borage.
What should you avoid
It is not advisable to go in the sauna and use cosmetics, which contains a lot of essential oils or alcohol. It accelerates the blood circulation in the skin, which is unneeded irritation of facial blood vessels. Also avoid hot or alcoholic drinks and sun-beds. In winter, before leaving the house, apply a thick layer of protective face cream.
How to strengthen your skin
In order to strengthen the skin and you can take vitamins (the best for skin are Omega-6 and evening primrose oil), and make sure you drink at least 6 glasses of plain water every day. Pamper your skin daily with a protective face cream. It stimulates skin regeneration and new cell generation.
Try these:

When the liquid is cooled (after 10 minutes), wet the terry face towel and put a warm compress on your face. Towel should be warm rather than hot. A chilled fluid can be used to wash your face.
To calm your skin: take a tablespoon of crushed linseed, a tablespoon of mint and a tablespoon of chamomile. Pour the boiling water. When cooled, filter and prepare compress.
